Dr. Xiaokun "Cara" Wang, senior instructor
About Cara:
- Graduated from Tsinghua University with BS and MS degrees and University of Texas at Austin with doctoral degree
- Teaching math enrichment courses since 2017
- Specialized in high school level math and competition math
- Enthusiastic in helping students to improve and grow
- All students instructed by Dr. Wang have qualified for double accelerated math programs in their schools. Some qualified for triple accelerated
- Several students received awards in local, chapter, state, and national level math competitions
Prof. Yunfeng Shi, senior instructor
About Yunfeng:
- Tsinghua (B.E. 2000), UIUC (M.S. 2002), UMichigan (Ph.D. 2006), all in materials science
- Tenured full Professor
- Computational materials science (Programming + Physics), have published on Science/PNAS/Nature babies/PRL/NanoLetts; 80+ papers/4000+ citations; invited talks at Cambridge/Tsinghua/Yale/UPenn/IoP-CAS/Caltech/MIT/JHU
- Have been teaching undergrad/graduate courses since 2008, volunteers for local high school STEM program
- Experienced instructor to middle to high school students
